A group of scientists has filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request seeking data from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that was used to license Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine. However, the FDA’s proposed timeline for releasing these documents is raising eyebrows.
In court filings, the FDA stated it could take up to 55 years to fully review and release the trove of around 329,000 pages of vaccine-related records. The plaintiffs, Public Health and Medical Professionals for Transparency, include over 30 professors and scientists from universities like Yale, Harvard and UCLA.
