Jennifer Malainy graduated from Lake Erie College with a Bachelor of Science. Thereafter, she attended Master’s Level classes in Human Donation Science at University of Toledo. Following her graduation, Ms. Malainy began working as an Organ Transplant Clinician throughout the states of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, working in world-renowned hospitals, including Cleveland Clinic. For over six years, she managed patients following traumatic head and whole-body injuries in Intensive Care and Surgical Units. She analyzed physician documentation, nursing notes, vitals, laboratory reports, diagnostics, radiology reports, pathology, and operative reports to determine viability of organs for donation. Ms. Malainy worked in collaboration with nationally-known surgeons who were at the forefront of pioneering new surgical practices. She additionally consulted and comforted families from the start of the donation process through recovery of organs. While working in the clinical space, Ms. Malainy furthered her education by attending Western Michigan University Law School, obtaining her Juris Doctorate in 2011. For the nine years prior to joining Siri & Glimstad, Ms. Malainy worked for a litigation management company that managed class action and mass tort personal injury and product liability claims. She worked on a wide range of cases, including but not limited to accidents, nursing home neglect, medical malpractice, toxic tort, medical device, and pharmaceutical claims. Ms. Malainy was named litigation lead and trainer for many of these projects, working in collaboration with law firms to ensure employees were adhering to project guidelines and expectations. Ms. Malainy analyzed claims utilizing her clinical and legal experience to produce favorable outcomes for clients. While working at the litigation management company, Ms. Malainy was additionally tasked with client relations, sales, and business development roles. She was at the forefront of legal support sales, traveling throughout the country to educate potential clients on the benefits of legal management services. She additionally attended several conferences, including but not limited to DRI, ABA, and PLAC to identify new areas for business expansion and development. Ms. Malainy worked in collaboration with several large law firms to devise plans of management for large litigation projects and developed alternative causation strategy work products to further enhance clients’ positions. Ms. Malainy has additionally worked in community relations roles throughout the states of Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, and Western Pennsylvania, marketing to, inter alia, law enforcement as a Senior Manager of Community Relations. She continues to enhance her clinical experience and give back to the community as the Chairwoman of the Ohio Geauga County Board of Mental Health and Recovery Services.
