Prior to joining Siri & Glimstad, Mr. Malainy served as a police detective and patrolman for the Mentor, Ohio Police Department for almost two decades. During that time, Mr. Malainy was part of multiple affluent organizations within the law enforcement community including Ohio Auto Theft Investigators, Ohio Identification Officers, and the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce.

Mr. Malainy received a multitude of commendations over his tenure, including the Department Excellence Award on two separate occasions. He even received national coverage for his investigation and conviction of a fraudulent fortune teller. Mr. Malainy was also spotlighted by global news following his identification and foot pursuit of what could only be described as “the ghost girl.”

Upon retiring from police work, Mr. Malainy obtained his paralegal certificate from The Ohio University. He also holds a certificate from the Ohio State Patrol Academy.
