Commercial Litigation Attorneys
Counsel in Matters Where Hundreds of Millions Hung in the Balance
Decades of Courtroom Experience and Strategic Insight
Combining decades of courtroom experience, with strategic insight, our Commercial Litigation Practice represents individuals, businesses, and financial institutions, in high‑stakes disputes in New York and across the country. We handle complex business disputes in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitrations, mediations, and other alternative forums. Having successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants, we are adept at developing winning strategies regardless of the circumstances. Our lawyers are trial‑ready, but always look for practical solutions that achieve our clients’ business objectives.
With lean, hands‑on teams, we combine our experience in larger firms with the accessibility and efficiency of a focused litigation boutique. Our clients come to us from around the world, including India, Bermuda, Canada, and Isreal. We work with our clients to help them achieve their legal goals while working within their budgets. Regardless of the size of the matter, our commercial litigation practice team brings the same level of excellence and dedication.
We routinely litigate claims involving breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, corporate governance disputes, defamation, restrictive covenants, real estate, construction, and commercial leasing disputes. Many of our matters involve closely held businesses, joint ventures, and professional firms, where ownership, control, and financing issues are front and center. We are experienced in seeking, and defending against, emergency relief, including temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions, especially in cases involving unfair competition, misappropriation of confidential information or trade secrets, and business divorces. From early investigation through trial and appeal, we take the time to provide clear, candid advice that allows our clients to make informed decisions at every stage of a dispute.
We pride ourselves on providing clients with honest, straightforward assessments of their cases from the outset. Rather than pursuing litigation for its own sake, we work collaboratively with clients to evaluate all available paths to resolution — whether through negotiated settlement, alternative dispute resolution, or aggressive courtroom advocacy when the situation demands it. This thoughtful, client-centered approach allows us to deploy resources efficiently while maximizing the likelihood of a favorable outcome.
At the heart of our commercial litigation practice is a deep commitment to the client relationship. We invest the time to understand each client’s industry, business model, and risk tolerance so that our legal strategy is always aligned with their broader objectives. Whether defending against a claim that threatens business continuity or pursuing relief on behalf of a client who has suffered significant harm, our team stands ready to provide the skilled, tenacious representation that complex commercial disputes require.
