Siri & Glimstad has commenced a class action lawsuit against one of the companies selling a Tdap vaccine in the United States. It alleges that this product does not, as claimed, prevent infection and transmission of pertussis.

Pertussis, also known as whooping cough, can lead to serious complications and death in babies. Siri & Glimstad has commenced a lawsuit alleging the above commercial falsely claims those receiving a Tdap are less likely to infect babies with pertussis. University and FDA scientists have demonstrated that while Tdap may reduce the symptoms of pertussis, it does not prevent the recipient of the vaccine from becoming infected with and transmitting pertussis to others.
