About the Lower.com Data Breach

Lower.com is a mortgage lender headquartered in Ohio. They specialize in home financing and consumer loan options.  In December 2021, Lower.com discovered that it had been hacked in a data breach incident.  A hacker gained access to and removed files on Lower.com’s network computers which contained sensitive information.  It is believed the hacker obtained names, social security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account information, and dates of birth!

Lower.com also does business as Homeside Financial, AMSW Lending, Fairfax Mortgage, Key Mortgage Group, Lakeside Mortgage, Oz Lending, Q Home Loans, and True Lend.

How do you know if you were affected?

Lower.com says that it sent out notification letters to the thousands of individuals it believes were affected by the data breach between February and May of 2022.
