A nonprofit group critical of vaccines is suing the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) after the agency declined to comply with a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for data on the effects of the coronavirus vaccine.
The lawsuit surrounds data from the CDC’s “V-Safe” system used to track patients’ health after receiving the COVID-19 vaccination. The group, Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN), says the CDC has already provided this deidentified V-Safe data to the contractor Oracle, but refused to provide it to ICAN.
