Alinsco Data Breach!

Was your information compromised in the Alinsco Data Breach?

If yes, you may be entitled to COMPENSATION!

The experienced Data Breach Attorneys at Siri & Glimstad are evaluating claims of individuals who had their highly sensitive information exposed recently as a result of Alinsco’s failure to safeguard their data.

Alinsco Managing General Agency, Inc. is a Texas auto insurance company. On November 3, 2022, Alinsco notified the Texas Attorney General of a data security breach, in which hackers accessed the company’s network and stole the following sensitive information belonging to current and former customers:

  • names
  • driver’s license numbers
  • state ID card numbers
  • passport numbers
  • financial account information (e.g., account numbers, credit or debit card numbers)

The breach occurred in August, when Alinsco discovered unauthorized activity in their network and began an investigation. It was then confirmed that customer information on their system had been accessed by bad actors.  Alinsco posted a notice on their website and began emailing customers whose contact information they have on file.

More and more often, sensitive information is being stolen by hackers in order to sell it on the dark web.  Because of Alinsco’s failure to safeguard the sensitive personal customer information entrusted to it, anyone whose information was exposed in the breach is at immediate risk of identity theft and financial losses.

How do you know if you were affected?

How do you know if you were affected:  Alinsco says that it emailed notification letters to over 600,000 people they believe were affected by the data breach.
